Hello! I’m PurpleReign. By day, I work as an IT Support Technician, and when I clock out, I'm an avid gamer! Streaming is merely a hobby for me, so for those curious about whether I’ll ever stream full-time, the answer is a resolute NO! My career in IT is my true passion. Gaming helps me unwind, and streaming allows me to connect with others as an introvert. Going full-time would take away the joy of it for me. While I appreciate that many of you would love to see me every day, it simply isn't feasible. But doesn't that make our time together even more special?

Now, let’s clear up a common misconception! While my handle might remind you of the famous song "Purple Rain," that’s not where my name originates. I was initially known as PurpleBastard, inspired by a Jeff Dunham skit where Peanut refers to José Jalapeño as a "Purple Bastard." This was many years ago. So why the change? Unfortunately, it was forced upon me while I was playing Rohan Blood Feud. A player deemed the "Bastard" part of my name offensive and insisted it be changed. The Game Master handling the case changed it to PurpleReign. I fought against this decision but ultimately lost, even after pointing out there was a sword in the game called the "Bastard Sword of Violetta." They even changed the sword's name to invalidate my argument. The only way to change my name afterward was to pay for it, which I declined, and thus, the name stuck.

2025 has been a year of significant change for me. At the end of 2024, I lost everything. My car broke down, my employer terminated my contract, leading to the loss of my apartment, and I had to give up my two beloved cats, Two-Face and Snickers. They were major inspirations and stars in my streams, and they are dearly missed and never forgotten. While I’m uncertain about the future regarding pets, I will always cherish the wonderful moments we shared together, and they will be forever immortalized in my streams!
